Diana Aviado | Artistic Associate

Diana is an artist and writer living in Quezon City. Her debut performance was with PETA during their summer workshop for children in 1990, where they produced the play Mahal na Reynang Ibon, with her as the lead role. The following year, she was part of the chorus in the production of Haring Basura.  

In 1992 she performed with Amelia Lapeña Bonifacio's Teatrong Mulat in their production of Pagong at MatsingShe also performed as one of the King's children in the 1994 production of King and I with Philippine Repertory, and in 1998 she was cast as the young Biata in Nick De Ocampo's film, Mother Ignacia.  

In high school she was a core member of the theater club, TATAK- JASMS, where she wrote a stage play called SISA 2004 which she used to pass the talent test in the University of the Philippines Sertipiko ng Malikhaing Pagsusulat sa Filipino program. She then finished her Bachelor's degree in English Literature at Kalayaan College during which she starred and collaborated in several indie films. 

After watching their production of swear not by the moon, she joined Langgam Performance Troupe, and played Igayo/ Chorus in their production of Si Medea. 

She is presently involved in the project Somewhere Else Instead, a site-specific documented performance piece directed by Jenny Logico-Cruz.
