John Andre Sarmogenes is a multidisciplinary artist. He participated in several exhibitions at the De La Salle Lipa under the mentorship of Mr. Rogger Basco. Inspired by Salvador Ching's performance art, John Andre joined Tupada Action and Media Art (TAMA) International Performance Art Festival in 2009.  During its Diskurso series, he was part of the collective’s documentation committee. Since then, he has also honed his skills as a photographer by attending workshops at the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging. He became a protégé of award-winning photographer, Tilak Hettige.

In 2018, he became part of several Langgam Performance Troupe projects, including: Somewhere Else Instead, [KOSMOS], and Thread/Warp, an entry in XSCENA, a scenography exhibition of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s Production Design Development.

During the pandemic, he participated at the 5th Solidarity in Performance Arts Festival (SIPAF) 2020. John Andre is also a member of the SIPA secretariat.
